Join us for this online book study to read, discuss, and learn with colleagues from across the Olympic Region and Washington State. 

We will read the popular, best selling book Ambitious Science Teaching from authors Mark Windschitl, Jessica Thompson, and Melissa Braaten. This book is a product of over a decade of research at the University of Washington's School of Education identifying core practices that ambitious science teacher's use to engage students in big science ideas. 

Course Details:

Three online Zoom Sessions - 1 hour each 4:30-5;30 pm

April 22nd

May 6th 

Participants will be receive a copy of Ambitious Science Teaching book ahead of the first session on April 22nd. 

Participants that complete three sessions, read assignments, and apply ideas to practice can earn a $100 implementation stipend. OESD 114 paying for clock hours.
