Description

Where does our energy come from? Is there a connection between our community's energy use and the changing climate? How can students take action around energy in their schools to reduce their impact on the environment?

Please join Washington Green Schools and NEWESD 101 to explore the relationship between energy conservation and efficiency and climate change in Eastern Washington while also exploring best practices around NGSS instruction. Tour the SIERR Building, one of the few historic facilities in the nation that is LEED® Gold-certified, and connect with local experts on career-connected learning for your students.

  • Substitute reimbursements are provided
  • 6 free STEM clock hours are provided

Event Notes

Please bring laptop and writing utensil. Reusable cup or mug is encouraged. Teachers will receive 6 free STEM clock hours and substitute reimbursement is available.  For information regarding substitute reimbursement, please contact Tammie Schrader tschrader@esd101.net.
