During the Stage 2 workshop participants will collaboratively work on increasing their knowledge and practice around the CEL 5D+ Framework to best meet the needs of their districts. This will include but is not limited to deepening their understanding of the CEL 5D+ Framework, building on their knowledge of the eight (8) WA State Teacher Criteria, making connections between the framework and WA Criteria, identifying words and phrases that best describe practice for different levels of performance, exploring specific classroom/professional practices and their alignment to the Framework's domains, analyzing and practicing the evaluation cycle, then aligning evidence to levels of performance, and looking at resources (provided and created) to assist in the process. This training will allow all participants to bring back new resources and understanding into the TPEP process to their district.

For fall 2020, each day of training includes approximately 3-hours of independent reading and reflection and a 3-hour live/virtual session, 8:30 – 11:30.  The live sessions will include discussion and various learning engagement strategies about the 5 dimensions and 13 sub-dimensions of Teaching and Learning. The intended audience is principals, assistant principals, and central office staff who evaluate teachers under the TPEP evaluation system and are new to the framework as an evaluator.
