Participants will develop a unit of study for ELL students that focuses on grade level content standards and appropriate language and vocabulary development. Needs of students at all levels of language acquisition will be incorporated in the instructional design. Participants will also research the skills, leadership, advocacy, and program service designs that provide foundation for ELL instruction and assessment. The unit will include student centered project activities and integrated technology. Finally, participants will present the unit and it's underlying foundation to peers in teacher to teacher collaborative discussion and modeling.
