FOR CLOCK HOURS ONLY. Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with Autism Spectrum disorders have unique learning characteristics that present challenges in a variety of settings for professionals. This seven hour professional training will address the specific characteristics and learning needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with Autism Spectrum disorders with a communication perspective and offer strategies for dealing with a variety of situations in different environments. A collaborative approach that addresses solutions to increase effectiveness in the area of Home/School Continuum will be provided.
