Digital Tools for Personalized and Blended Learning (ONLINE)

Digital Tools for Personalized and Blended Learning (ONLINE)

Wed, February 15 12:00 AM - Wed, March 29 2017 11:59 PM

Administered by PSESD

Description

This class has been developed for K-12 teachers across the state with the support from the Microsoft Shape the Future project, OSPI, and the Association of Educational Service Districts' (AESD) Network. Held entirely online over seven weeks, you can participate when convenient to you, with no face-to-face meetings or travel involved. Participants will work independently online and share ideas with other participants through an online portal. Participants will explore digital tools and create plans and projects to incorporate them into their classrooms. From online simulations to presentation programs, and from social networking to online databases, you will examine and use free tools that enable personalized and blended learning.

Build your skillset as you work through six online modules. Start by becoming competent with two new tools, then design short-term lessons and longer-term projects that teach your students to use those tools. Be part of a learning community by sharing your plans with other participants and draw on others’ feedback and advice so that you can achieve success as you bring personalized and blended learning into your classroom.
