School officials typically expend considerable time, energy and fiscal resources on creating safe school climates.  However, these commitments do not always correlate to effective and reliable approaches.  This dynamic presentation will emphasize how school officials can identify, measure and reduce the distance between written policies and plans and actual preventive practices and life-saving preparedness capabilities.  Based on whole child and whole staff approaches combined with dozens of video and audio scenarios, this unforgettable experience will provide tangible and practical approaches that are based on facts rather than fear.
