Classroom Safety Course: This course provides school personnel with ideas and techniques to help keep your classroom safe and you free from injury. Topics covered include injury prevention, ergonomics, and everyday safety. 16 minutes

De-Escalation Strategies: The goal of this course is to educate school staff in the proper use of de-escalation strategies in properly managing student behavior. Topics covered include the Conflict Cycle and preventative measures, the development of meaningful relationships, how to recognize signs of disruptive behavior. 21 minutes

Disruptive Student Behavior: This course will help school staff members identify, understand, and manage the most common causes of disruptive behavior by students. Topics covered include the three categories of student misbehavior, the four categories of chronic student behavior and the importance of analyzing the causes of chronic misbehavior and developing an effective intervention plan.   33 minutes

FERPA: Confidentiality of Records: This course addresses training needs relating to student education records. This course covers important legal terms related to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the general responsibilities of staff members under FERPA, FERPA's rules regarding confidentiality and disclosure, and the rights of students to access and inspect their own education records kept by the school. 14 minutes

General Ethics in the Workplace: This course provides staff members with an overview of ethical standards at work. Common themes include describing ethical behavior with monetary practices, explaining ethical behavior with colleagues, and identifying several guidelines for appropriate ethical behavior. 24 minutes

Homeless Students: Awareness and Understanding: The goal of this course is to educate the user on the prevalence of homelessness, federal laws related to homeless students, and strategies for identifying and assisting the homeless student population. Topics covered include identifying homeless students using the McKinney-Vento Act, enrollment and transportation policies that can ease the negative of student mobility, two special populations of homeless students (unaccompanied youth and preschool children), and facilitation success in school for homeless students. 22 minutes

Playground Supervision:This course gives an overview of the fundamentals of playground supervision. It will review a playground supervisor's responsibilities for active monitoring, the most common hazards on the playground and how to protect children from them, and procedures and policies. 16 minutes

Special Education: Safety in the Classroom: In this course, you'll learn how to become more aware of students, the classroom, and events in order to prevent staff injuries. Topics covered include everyday safety, using safer communication skills, and avoiding classroom injuries. 23 minutes

Student Mental Health: The goal of this course is to provide an overview of student behavior and mental health issues. It provides information that should be helpful in referring a student to a qualified professional. This course will cover the definition of mental health, fostering resilience, and positive learning environments. This course is not meant as a diagnostic tool. Diagnoses must always come from a certified professional who specializes in mental health. 23 minutes
