Description

Early educators watch children all the time but we often forget the power of planned observations.  Observation is a form of authentic assessment and allows us to learn about ourselves as teachers and the children we work with.

Strong observation skills can give us a wide range of information, including:

  • Determining the needs of individual children or group
  • assessing children’s skills & abilities
  • supporting your teaching

In this class you will learn:

  • how to design and use different types of observations
  • the importance of staying objective
  • how observation can guide your practice
  • how to develop curriculum off your observations
