Due to support from the Project Aware federal grant, we are able to offer this session FREE of charge. This includes the lunch and materials. Thank you to our valued partners for this opportunity. Materials, lunch and three-year certification Youth Mental Health First Aid provided. You are more than likely to encounter someone – friend, family member, student, neighbor or member of the community – in an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack. You Mental Health First Aid teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of a mental illness or in a crisis, and connects them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care. This course is designed for adults who work with young people, ages 12-18 – teachers, coaches, leaders of faith communities, social workers, and other caring citizens. LUNCH PROVIDED. Please note: Attendance is required at all 8 hours of this training in order to earn a certificate.
