Schoology Rubrics - what to bring
Good afternoon!
I am looking forward to our Schoology Rubrics workshop on Monday, March 11, at 3:45 in Knox 301. Please bring with you print or digital access to a rubric that you already use or plan to use with your students. We will build rubrics in the Schoology platform and apply them to courses, assignments, and discussions.
I am linking here a couple of articles about rubrics. The first is a general overview of rubric best practices. The second and third are specifically about ways to use rubrics in Schoology.

Description
We all know how powerful rubrics can be in communicating our expectations to students. In this course you will learn to create rubrics with a variety of learning objectives/standards and attach them to Schoology assignments to score student work. We will learn to copy these rubrics to other courses and personal or group resources so that they may be used later or shared with others. Suggested Prerequisite: Ability to create Course Materials/assignments in Schoology.
Event Notes
The Schoology Essentials Series is designed for classroom teachers who want to learn more about specific tools in Schoology. Each session is offered as a stand-alone class, but the series is designed to build overall knowledge of the platform. Workshops are led by the instructional tech coaches.
Sessions are eligible for compensation through Tech PD or Self-Directed SD. Clock hours will be offered under the blanket Tech PD course at the end of the school year. Please register on pdEnroller in advance. Bring your fully charged laptop loaded with Chrome browser.
