Description
SharePoint Online is a cloud-based service that helps organizations share and collaborate with colleagues, partners, and customers. With SharePoint, you can access internal sites, documents, and other information from anywhere—at the office, at home, or from a mobile device. The first part of this workshop is intended to help you understand what Sharepoint is designed to do. After a short break, we'll dive into building and configuring your own SharePoint site and a few of the things you should think about. For example, how will you manage sites with the objective to collaborate (team sites) and those with the objective to broadcast and share content for viewing (communication sites) I've divided the planning process into three steps. With each step, we'll resources to guide your decisions and get you better acquainted with SharePoint.
- Set up your SharePoint environment
- Organize site content and plan content features
- Customize sites with solutions & apps
You won't be an expert on SharePoint when you leave, but you will have the knowledge and skills to start building your expertise. Bring your own laptop if you like.
