Description

Join us for a day that will increase cross collaboration efforts between Special Education Services and English Learner Services for dual identified students in your districts.

It's imperative that attendance is with a cross departmental team as you will dive into data for dual identified students and engage in facilitated conversations that will allow you to begin to streamline efforts to efficiently meet the challenging needs of this unique population of students.

We will begin the day by looking at your district’s data as OSPI leads us through a data dive and analysis.  In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to join in facilitated conversations with your team around two of the following topics options:

  • Braided Funding
  • Program Eligibility for both SPED and ELL
  • Assessment and Accommodations
  • How to Ensure Access to Core Instruction

Special Education Directors, ELL Directors, ELL and SpEd district leads/coaches/facilitators, ELL and SpEd teachers and General Education teachers and administrators are invited to attend.

District teams of at least 4-6 participants across both SpEd and ELL are highly encouraged to participate to aid in cross collaborative discussions and action planning.
