Description
EHS staff will read and discuss the book "Teaching With Poverty in Mind: What Being Poor Does to Kids' Brains and What Schools Can Do About It." The focus will be on understanding the neurological, psychological, and sociological impact of poverty on students and identifying research-based practices that can mediate or eliminate that impact. Staff will make direct connections to EHS students and practices within EHS classrooms.
