If you are looking for ways to address the needs of the various levels of learners in your classroom, then this professional development is for you. In this session, we will help you develop a deeper understanding of what academic conversations are and how to introduce them into your classroom. You will practice the 5 core skills of academic conversations and leave with tools for implementation across a variety of content areas. We will also discuss the importance of questioning strategies and will provide you with tools and ideas for differentiation you can implement the next day and throughout the rest of the year! Registration includes lunch, snacks, and the book, "Academic Conversations" by Jeff Zwiers and Marie Crawford A TABLET OR LAPTOP WOULD BE USEFUL AT THIS SESSION!
