This child abuse essentials course provides the professional educator a brief but thorough overview of what he or she needs to know in order to meet their responsibilities as a mandatory reporter in Washington State. This course will provide information on how to recognize reportable signs of child abuse and how to be helpful to a student who has experienced it. Of equal importance, the regulations and requirements for mandatory reports are emphasized in this course.
