The intent of the quarterly training is to improve learning and performance of education providers in detention centers, juvenile facilities and group homes, housing incarcerated youth under the age of 21 years. This training is for school principals and administrators and is limited to 2 attendees per site.

Location:The training will be held at the Vancouver Library in the Columbia Room –

The Library is right off of I-5.   There will be morning beverages and snacks, with lunch on your own.  There are many lunch options within walking distance, we will provide a map of the local restaurants.

Attendees not staying within walking distance of the library will need to use a nearby City Center parking garage for all day parking, located at 255 E. 8th Street.  The cost for each day will be $4.50.

Lodging: There are two hotels that are walking distance to the Library.

The Vancouver Hilton is about 8 blocks from the library.  They are currently offering rooms at the government rate of $151 per night. I would encourage folks to book their room as soon as possible as the number of government rate rooms may be limited.  Hilton Vancouver 360-993-4500

The Heathman Lodge is always a favorite place to stay, they also have a limited number of government rate rooms available, but you will then have to drive to the training location.  Heathman Lodge 360-253-3100
