Description

The Special Education Consistency Index is available through eLearning for Educators, an OSPI funded state needs project. The Special Education Consistency Index is a rigorous, self-paced 30-hour web-based college level course intended for experienced special educators that uses actual student level data in conjunction with research-based diagnostic tools. Course content includes the background and purpose of the Consistency Index, how to conduct a valid and reliable review of evaluation reports, individualized education programs (IEPs), and evidence of service delivery to students, as well as how to use the companion Data Collection and Reporting Platform that is built into the course. The course costs $120 and certifies the course completer as a Special Education Consistency Index Scorer. Successful course completion also provides access to the web-based Consistency Index platform for three years. Registration can be completed online on the eLearning for Educators website under the How to Register section at the bottom of the page. For questions about enrolling in the Special Education Consistency Index course, please contact Carole Brewer, Project Director or Elaine Kurlinski, Project Manager at 360.867.6070.
