Description

This training explores the research behind the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and how those results show us the impact of trauma. In knowing the impact of trauma, we are able to better understand how our brains handle stress and how that stress impacts behavior.  When we better understand how to distance ourselves from the dysregulation of others on a personal level and see it as communicating an unmet need, our approach to those behaviors shifts.  Once that paradigm shifts occurs, we are able to use a multitude of interventions, strategies and approaches that better address those unmet needs and provide the skills necessary for the families and children we serve.
