This interactive, cooperative workshop participants will learn about the differences between modifications and accommodations and how to decide which are appropriate for various students’ needs.  We will examine accommodations that can be used to help students with exceptionalities access the general education curriculum, engage with content material, and express what they have learned.  We will examine necessary curriculum modifications that some students may need in order to gain academic skills.  We will review common accommodations on IEPs and discuss best practices for communicating them with general-education colleagues and ensuring their implementation.
