WSIPC is currently experiencing a temporary disruption of the primary hosting environment affecting access to your Skyward Information System. This issue was identified late Friday afternoon, April 20th and is a result of an upgrade by DELL. All of WSIPC’s available resources continue to work closely with DELL, Microsoft, and HP to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. However, an extended system downtime is expected to last for the next couple of days as it requires replacing equipment that will require time, as it will need to be shipped to WSIPC. In order to begin planning for this extended downtime, we recommend you consider and start planning now for the following:  For those districts who have not batched payroll – we are working diligently to get the system restored as soon as possible so that payroll deadlines are met.  Implement manual process for how will teachers take attendance? o If your school is utilizing Positive Attendance your teachers will need to send attendance to the office.  Implement manual process for how the food service lines keep track of students who eat Breakfast and/or Lunch?  Implement manual process for how staff will utilize True Time clock in and out?  Determine communication with parents through 3rd party notification systems – like absences. The system will be available next weekend for payroll processing as needed. CRISC will also schedule resources to assist any districts who need support in processing payroll and printing during the weekend as needed. For districts using 3rd party payment vendors (eFunds, InTouch), those payments may not process into Skyward during this downtime. We are working with vendors to determine their ability to re-post those payments. We understand the widespread impact this will have on your district operations and will keep you informed as we continue to secure a resolution.
