Description
Continuity of Operation Planning (COOP) is a process that ensures continued performance of essential functions across a full range of potential emergencies, be they natural, technological, biological or man-made/adversarial. A COOP is not the same as an Emergency Operations/Safety Plan. Participants who attend this training:
¨ Will develop an understanding of the key components of a COOP.
¨ Will identify at least three resources to support the district operations following an emergency; and
¨ Have an opportunity to begin to work on a draft COOP for their district that will provide guidance and establish responsibilities and procedures within the District.
