These are exciting times in education. Public awareness of the need for science, technology, engineering and math education is rising, and new STEM initiatives are beginning across the nation. The new NGSS standards highlight the Engineering dimensions of science education.

In this series of three, two-hour sessions, teachers will work their way through experiencing (and developing and understanding) of engineering activities, deconstructing a couple of activities to understand the essential elements, and work by themselves or others to create activities that will fit into the FOSS Science curriculum.

The end goal is to work toward developing learning opportunities for students that bring engineering activities to life with the context of FOSS Kit curriculum.
