In this six-hour workshop, participants will explore components of the College, Career & Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards. They will analyze the purpose and organization of the C3 Framework and its implications for content, curriculum, and assessment. Participants will have an opportunity to examine the four Dimensions, corresponding indicators within the framework, and how each relates to specific subject matter. They will develop a plan for addressing the C3 Framework’s rigor and expectations within the classroom. They will also learn how to incorporate document-based questions as well as the instructional shifts of the C3 Framework into the Social Studies classroom.
