KNOW Curriculum Training
Thank you for registering for the KNOW training which will be held in Olympia from 8:30-3:30 on February 20, 2018. The meeting location is: Evergreen State College, 2700 Evergreen Pkwy NW Olympia, WA 98505 in room #4300 of the Daniel J. Evans Library Building. You will be asked to pay $3 at the parking booth on entry to the college. This pass buys you all-day parking. I have uploaded the Evergreen State College campus map with the building and parking station highlighted. In addition, you may want to bring your own lunch, as nearby lunch options are quite limited with on-campus dining and the lunch break will be 30-40 min. long. Be sure to bring your own copy of KNOW or a laptop for accessing online. Copies of the curriculum will NOT be provided. Description
KNOW is an HIV/AIDS prevention education curriculum. It was developed by OSPI at the direction of the legislature to support Washington schools in fulfilling the state's requirement for providing HIV/AIDS prevention education to their students.
This training is designed for people using grades 5-8 KNOW, although it will be helpful for those teaching HIV prevention education at the high school level.
Event Notes
IMPORTANT: The curriculum will not be provided to participants - it is available for free download (http://www.k12.wa.us/HIVSexualHealth/KNOW.aspx) and you are encouraged to bring a printed copy or your laptop.
Free clock hours will be provided.
