Description
This course is designed for teachers in grades K-5, and will go over some of the 15 lessons offered on the Code.org website. These may be implemented as one unit or over the course of a semester. Participants will learn how to have students create computer programs that will help them learn to collaborate with others, develop problem-solving skills, and persist through difficult tasks. Participants will also learn how to work with students to study programming concepts, computational thinking, digital citizenship, and develop interactive games or stories they can share. Teachers will learn how to access and utilize Code.org’s free curriculum for CSF, which is aligned to the newly revised 2017 CSTA Standards.
