Description
This Drug / Alcohol impairment recognition training will cover seven categories of substances. This interactive training is provided by experts in impairment recognition. There will be information provided to assist in building confidence to ask questions when impairment is suspected or probable. The goal is to increase knowledge and understanding of drugs and substances associated with abuse and awareness of options and choices when encountering an individual believed to be impaired by either alcohol and/or drugs in school or work environments. Attendees will know how to ask questions, provide a place of safety, and ultimately deliver help to those individuals. Audience members will hear what is needed to properly document any suspicions and evidence associated with these encounters.
