Sarah (Sally) Dueweke and Jaki Shrauger have years of experience as classroom teachers, ESL teachers, Special Education teachers and OCDE Project GLAD(R) Tier IV Consultants. Sarah and Jaki will walk participants through the steps they take to intentionally leverage OCDE Project GLAD (R) strategies that best prepare students for responding to the demands of Smarter Balance Assessment. Within this training participants will become familiar with resources for Smarter Balance and the types of questions that students will have to respond to. This presentation will result in teachers gaining a greater understanding of how their students'' skills will be measured, what instructional strategies better develop the skills that will be measured and how to integrate this work within their current instructional framework.
