This one-day workshop will focus on knowledge building around the Next Generation Science Standards with an equity focus.The session will bring together elementary principal and classroom teacher partnerships to engage in learning about NGSS innovations, identifying barriers that prevent all students from having equitable access to high quality science instruction and experiences, and determining strategies that can dismantle inequitable structures, policies, and practices. Principal/teacher teams will emerge with an action plan for strengthening NGSS implementation at their building. Lunch is included and participants will earn 6 STEM clock hours.

Buildings are encouraged to bring a team consisting of a building administrator and a classroom teacher. The first seven classroom teachers to register will receive reimbursement for their substitutes.
