Event Notes

About the Topic

Inquiry-Based Instruction is a pedagogy that supports students to do the question-asking and answer-seeking. The role of the teacher is to design and guide experiences and an environment that encourage student discussion, collaboration, and critical thinking. Inquiry builds strong emotional bonds and breathes joyful curiosity into classrooms.

Join Inquiry Partners for this exciting two-day educator workshop where we’ll learn, apply, and practice the “inquiry five” strategies in ways that best fit the classrooms in which we work today.
This two-day learning event will:

1) deepen your expertise in the brain-based research and specific strategies behind inquiry,
2) offer you time to plan and rehearse an inquiry lesson, and
3) introduce you to a community of professionals you will get to work with virtually throughout the school year.

Our approach honors the teacher-as-learner by focusing on the specific knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to create inquiry-based classrooms. We hope you join us!
