NASA's Science Mission Directorate: The Solar System

NASA's Science Mission Directorate has four main areas of study.  From September-December, we will focus on a different  area each month.  What is NASA hoping to learn about each area of study?  How do science questions drive mission design?  Why does each area of study matter?

For October, we will focus on The Solar System.  Learn about recent discoveries and upcoming missions in our solar system.  Classroom-ready resources and project ideas around missions to planets and asteroids and the scale of the solar system will be explored.  

This workshop is one of a monthly series offered throughout the school year.  A new topic each month will be offered in both Bremerton and Port Angeles.  Check www.oesd114.org/stem for upcoming topics and dates.
