Description
Participants will have three days of learning the basics of grant writing. The first day will be spent identifing a fundable project, finding a funder, parsing a request for proposal (RFP), exploring the basic components of a grant, and reading examples of well-written proposals. On the second day, participants will explore all aspects of technical writing and have an opportunity to develop a narrative that includes all the basic components of the grant. Participants will also develop a simple budget and evaluation plan. The third day will focus specifically on preparing state and federal grant applications. Special attention will be given to parsing the RFP and developing more complex narrative responses.
