Learning Progressions bring together K-8 Elementary teachers from Starbuck and Dixie to experience the process of vertical alignment of standards and math curriculum with Brenda Dunn. K-8 teachers will experience the vertical alignment of the CCMSS and math curriculum units for each grade level.  Teachers will work as a group with the progression maps for math strand.  

Learning Progressions focus: 

• Acquiring a deep understanding of CCMSS standards and how they progress through the grade levels.
• Focus on skill development and understanding of the foundations of number sense (i.e., whole numbers and whole number operations, fractions and fraction operations);
• Sequence standards that follow how mathematics is structured as a discipline and the order in which students typically learn the content.
