Description

The Mental Health and High School Curriculum Guide ("Guide") is a six-module, evidence-based mental health curriculum designed to be used by teachers who teach grades 8 -10.    It is the only resource proven to improve both teacher's and student's mental health literacy.  Teacher training prepares teachers to implement and deliver the Guide to their students.

Teacher training consists of a one day, 8 hour training where teachers will:

  1. Receive and overview of the Mental Health and High School Curriculum and all modules;
  2. Learn about the different mental health literacy components, concepts, and applications;
  3. Become familiar with the modules contained in the Guide and online resources available to teachers when teaching the Guide; and
  4. Participate in group discussion regarding strategies for teaching the different modules contained in the Guide.
