TECH- IMS: Student iPad Essential Skills (Optional/ Clock hours available)
Administered by Mercer Island
- Becky Mullvain
This course is a 3-part series covering fundamental technology skills that are important for students to know at Islander Middle School. This course is open to all Mercer Island staff, and we will work through the same technology lessons taught to our 6th graders in the fall. Having a better understanding of the student iPad will help staff members prepare lessons, and support our students to use the device for educational purposes and learning.
This three-part series will consist of a 1-hour tech training a month, for three months. Each training will be offered in the morning at 6:50 am and then repeated at 3:20 pm on that same day to provide two different options (timeslots) for that segment of the series. If you attend the 1-hour training on all 3 dates (Oct 18th, Nov 29th, Dec 20th) you will receive 3 clock hours. However, you do not have to attend all 3. You can choose to join us for just one of the dates. Tech Training Location: IMS Library
MISD Certificated staff members can count these trainings toward their tech workshop requirement under the enrichment part of their certificated contract. MISD Classified staff members can timecard these trainings as part of the 26 technology hours in the classified contract.
If you have a staff iPad checked out to you, please bring it with you to this tech training.
