  • Event Cancelled

Given the likelihood of some new snow if not lots of it, this “Transforming Student Learning with EdTech Standards” workshop scheduled for this Saturday, Feb. 9 is being cancelled. We are working on re-scheduling this training in Franklin Pierce SD sometime this spring, and will let you know once it has been scheduled.

  • EdTech Standards Workshop on Saturday

    Hello!

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Transforming Student Learning with EdTech Standards workshop at the Franklin Pierce School District Office, Building C, on Saturday.  Doors will be open at 8:30, and we will begin at 9:00 AM.  We will finish our day at 3:30 PM.

Hot drinks and morning snacks will be provided.  Please bring your own mug!  Our lunch break will be 30 minutes long, so please plan to pack a lunch.  While there are no vending machines in the building, microwaves will be available to heat up your lunch. Many of our resources are located online, so bring a fully-charged laptop on Saturday.  Guest WiFi will be available.

In the event of snowy weather, we will make a decision no later than 7:30 AM on Saturday if the workshop will be cancelled.  We will send out a message of cancellation through pdEnroller.  No news is good news and will mean that we are still on.

    See you soon!

Description

This free workshop is designed to provide Teacher-Librarians and other educators with strategies to transform student learning using the state’s updated Educational Technology Learning Standards (http://www.k12.wa.us/EdTech/Standards/). These standards are based upon the 2016 Technology Standards for Students released by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and can integrated into lessons in virtually all content areas. Participants will gain a general understanding of the standards, and ideas for implementing them at all levels. This training is sponsored by the WA State Library, WLA, and OSPI, and 6 free clock hours will be available to attendees.
