For Rainier School District teachers only!
STEM education for students starts with teachers themselves understanding STEM literacy and STEM best practices. This STEM workshop will go over all areas of STEM: science, technology, engineering, math, and art. Teachers will learn how to integrate STEM literacy and STEM best practices into their existing lessons and new lessons.
This STEM district level workshop aligns to state learning standards: Science using NGSS; Math CCSS, Technology, computer science standards; Engineering, NGSS/Engineering Design Process; and Art, newly adopted art standards.
Teachers will collaborate with other educators to discuss STEM and Career-connected learning while participating in hands-on experiences. Educators will map out a calendar to integrate STEM activities monthly and create STEM kits.

In order to receive clock hours:
- Participants must sign the attendance sign-in sheet EACH assigned day of the session. The attendee must sign in to receive credit for attending the session.pdNorthwest will not accept verbal or written documentation (other than official sign-in sheets) from the instructor, school district or other entity stating the attendee was present after the session has taken place.
- Participants must be in actual (physical) attendance at the session location at the assigned time and for the duration of the class.
