Description

The SCRIPT training includes a one-day facilitator training that will prepare individuals to use the SCRIPT to support the expansion of computer science in districts/LEAs in their state or region. The SCRIPT workshop will help teams develop computer science implementation plans with the guidance of trained facilitators from their respective communities.

One of the goals of the AESD is to increase the number of districts with a Computer Science Education strategic plan that creates computer science pathways for Washington students across all grade levels. The ESD strategic plans are to provide technical assistance and guidance to assist the school districts to develop their strategic plan.

SCRIPT provides them a glimpse into their current level as well as pathways for growth district wide. The ESD leads will have the support of their District Computer Science leads they have been working with all year to make an appropriate strategic plan based upon the SCRIPT score and recommendations. The ESD leads are currently building supportive working relationships with the District Computer Science leads and are positioned to achieve this objective.
