Description

Homework Assignment:

  1. Review your parent attendance letters. What tone do they use?  What grade level are they written at?  Are your letters out of compliance or concern?  If you were a parent, and received this letter, would you interpret that the school wants to partner with you and wants your child to succeed?
  2. How many languages are spoken in your school? How will you communicate about the importance of attendance or upcoming attendance Cafés so all families receive the message?
  3. Brainstorm places other than the school for an attendance café.  Name that location and why it could be a good option.
