Objectives:

  • Gain knowledge and skills aligned to the Science of Reading & Structured Literacy 

  • Understand the importance of Explicit and Systematic Instruction

  • Identify core and small group instructional strategies to support students developing literacy skills

Event Description:

This professional learning opportunity will be held virtually over Zoom. It is for PreK - 6 teachers, paraeducators, reading specialists and coaches to gain deeper understanding of the Science of Reading, Structured Literacy lesson planning, and support for all students in a Multi-tiered Systems of Support to achieve literacy success for all.

This is an introductory course to the Science of Reading, Word Recognition Strategies and Language Comprehension Strategies.  Additional hands-on, classroom simulation courses will be offered for implementation.
