Welcome to the Chewelah School District Blended Learning Cohort!

Blended learning is a teaching approach that combines online and in-person learning experiences. This allows students to benefit from the flexibility and convenience of digital coursework, while also receiving the support and interaction of in-person instruction.

You will participate in a cohort from across your district to learn about blended learning models, select a model that best suits your classroom, and receive 1:1 coaching to support the implementation.  Participants will implement minimum two blended learning lessons with students in the duration of the cohort.

The cohort will run for a total of 8 weeks, and is structured as follows:

• 3 required in-person meetings 

  • February 10, 2023 

  • March 3, 2023

  • March 31, 2023

• 2 required 1:1 meetings with instructional coach (Feb. 17 or Feb. 24 AND Mar. 17 or Mar. 24, time TBD by participant)

• 6 assignments in an online Canvas course (throughout, deadlines posted)

10 Clock Hours Available

• In-person meetings (3 meetings) = 2 hours

• 1:1 coaching sessions (2 sessions) = 2 hours

• Implementation/Canvas assignments (6 assignments) = 6 hours
