Professional Learning Days on SEL and Closing Persistent Opportunity Gaps - Washington State requirement for all certificated staff. Day 1 will cover all of the topics outlined in the RCW28.A.415.440. Day 2 will cover all of the topics outlined in the supplemental operating budget.

Day 1 of this training will cover all of the topics outlined in the RCW. • Social-emotional learning • Trauma-informed practices • Recognition and response to emotional or behavioral distress using the model plan developed under RCW 28A.320.1271 • Consideration of adverse childhood experiences • Mental health literacy • Antibullying strategies • Culturally sustaining practices Day 2 of this training will cover all of the topics outlined in the supplemental operating budget. • Racial literacy • Cultural responsiveness • Stereotype threat Training each day will be from 8:30am to 3:00pm with an 30 min break for lunch. Training will be in person and will involve group participation. Clock hours are available for these trainings at an additional cost through ESD 105.
