Description
QPR is an emergency mental health intervention for suicidal persons. An abbreviation for Question, Persuade and Refer, the intent is also to identify and interrupt the crisis and direct that person to the proper care. Trained individuals are called Gatekeepers. As a trained QPR Gatekeeper you will learn to: * Recognize the warning signs on suicide * Know how to offer hope * Know how to get help and save a life
Event Notes
Our agreement with QPR is that everyone keep their videos on during the entire training and that ALL TRAINED GATEKEEPERS will complete a QPR Self Assessment Survey and a Demographic Survey after attending the training.
**The fee will be waived for the following school districts that are covered under the School Climate Transformation Grant: Grandview, Granger, Mabton, Mt. Adams, Wahluke and Yakama Nation Tribal School.
