Stage 1 Over the course of the two-day initial training, participants will get an introduction to the Danielson Framework for teaching as a tool for examining and improving teacher learning and teaching practice. Participants will have the ability to connect with other professionals and develop a professional learning community that focuses on improving student learning. By the end of this stage participants will:
Understand the overall structure, the language, and Common Themes of the Framework for Teaching.
Know the domains and components of the Framework for Teaching and be able to identify examples of practice that illustrate those components.
Identify the essential characteristics of each of the Frameworkâs levels of performance.
Know and understand the Framework for Teaching
As a tool for supporting effective and equitable teaching practices.
As it relates to the Collaborative Observation Process.
As it is used for teacher professional growth.
