Description
This virtual training is for Education Advocates, Juvenile Probation Officers, community youth workers, and school-based staff who support students returning to school from juvenile detention, extended absenteeism, and/or behavioral health inpatient treatment programs. Re-Entry Circles helps participants welcome returning students to the school community, and collaboratively develop a re-entry support plan for the student as they transition back to school. This virtual training includes a brief overview of Restorative Practices and Circles, as well as strategies to prepare for and facilitate a Restorative Re-Entry Circle. Participants will also receive a sample Re-Entry Circle screening and preparation list, sample Re-Entry Circle script, and Re-Entry Support Plan template.
