Description

This workshop has a content focus on number sense and a pedagogical focus on the implementation of instructional routines that promote mathematical reasoning and student discourse. Teachers will explore number sense through rich tasks, and they will have the opportunity to experience, analyze, and learn to implement productive instructional routines and strategies that they can incorporate into their mathematics lessons and units. Additionally, teachers will use technology to explore ways to develop number sense and careers that stem from a solid mathematical background.

Event Notes

This is an online Canvas course, and you will be working through the modules asynchronously, at your own pace. There are no Zoom meetings required.

OSPI worked closely with the nine ESDs to develop content-specific online learning for educators during Long-Term School Closure (LTSC).  This course is a result of that collaboration.
