Description
With the recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery the nation and world is reckoning with systematic racism. During these traumatic times, this forum will provide educators of African descent a community to breathe, to feel heard, supported, gain tools to address school-based microaggressions, and a network to counter feelings of cultural isolation.
Objectives
- Actively listening to diverse experiences of African American educators across the region
- Supporting and affirming each other through collaborative dialogue
- Engaging in problems of practice scenarios
