Description
This class is designed for 5th-10th grade teachers who would like a deeper understanding of what is meant by close reading and what is meant by complex text. The course will focus on analyzing text for complexity and teaching the skills of close reading: questioning, annotating, understanding vocabulary in context, talking about the text, and assessing comprehension. Criteria 1-4, 6, & 8.
