Description
This class is designed for teachers and paraeducators of grades 3-10. Participants will explore the topic of feedback as it relates specifically to feedback on writing, and also as it relates to feedback in other content areas. Questions to be addressed include the following: What kind of feedback is most likely to promote student learning? What kinds of feedback impede student learning? How do we teach students to give effective feedback to themselves and to their peers? The class will be partly instructor-driven and partly participant-driven. Participants should feel free to bring ideas to share with others. Also bring text materials, laptops or other devices, and planning materials. Time will be allocated for participants to develop their own feedback plans in this workshop-style training.
Criteria 1, 2, 3, 4, 8
Event Notes
