This workshop is designed to support instruction using the new Tornado Alley Unit for the Middle School grades. It will focus on how to adapt pre-existing activities (in the middle school Weather and Climate Kit) and to re-frame learning using a phenomenon-driven and project-based approach. We will explore the unit storyline which will weave in open educational resources and career-related learning to make learning more relevant and exciting for students.
